Looking for a good book to read?
Our reader's advisory librarian can help you find some new books that you will like. Tell her about three books that you recently enjoyed and she will try to correctly match you with some good reads. If you need help finding something new to read and our Library is closed or you don't have time to stop in or call, we have two online databases you can access using your Library card barcode number that can give recommendations and read-alikes based on books you like.

Interested in e-books or downloadable audio books? With your Library card barcode number and your catalog account security PIN you can access the OverDrive catalog of electronic books and audio books. For assistance, call or stop by the Adult Reference Desk.

If you don't remember your Library card security PIN use the online catalog to reset your PIN or call or stop by the Circulation Desk.


Add our catalog to your Book Links
Goodreads is a social networking site where you can friend other readers, follow their reviews, write your own reviews, and rate books. You can also add our online catalog to your Goodreads Book Link list, so when you are looking at a book in Goodreads you can quickly see if it is available at our Library or at one of the other libraries in the SWAN system. Goodreads is available at You can also download the Goodreads app to your smart phone.

In Goodreads, go into your Account Settings and click on the Book Links tab. Sort the list of Popular Links alphabetically and find our catalog under S for Stickney. Click the Add button and move it to the top of your list of Book Links.

If you don't own an e-book reader, you can find these titles pre-loaded when you check out a Nook e-book reader.
