The Library Board of Trustees is made up of seven elected members and is responsible for the provision of Library services in the Villages of Stickney and Forest View and Central Stickney. The Board authors, implements, and publishes governing policies under the advisement of the Library Director.
The Library Board of Trustees of the Stickney-Forest View Public Library are committed to providing the highest quality service to the residents of our district. While the Library has undergone some changes in the past several months, we want to assure our users that our number one goal is maintaining and surpassing the level of service you have come to expect from us. All of the trustees are dedicated to the Library and the communities we serve, and fully believe that, as our motto says, the Stickney-Forest View Public Library District is “Where Great Things Happen!” Libraries are essential to communities as they provide access to information and resources, support literacy and learning, promote lifelong learning and serve as a community space. We pledge to our users that this Library will remain a cornerstone for the community and will continue to meet and exceed your expectations for years to come. (July 2023)
